In France





France Winter Olympics Jan. 25th, 1924 : The first Winter Olympics games took place in the French Alps on this day. Two of the primary Sports that took place on this mountain were bob sled and ski jump competitions. In all, 12 events featuring the play of six different sports were scheduled.
