French daily Le Monde to stop publishing pictures of terrorists in order to avoid 'glorifying them in death'France’s best-selling national newspaper has declared it will no longer publish pictures of terrorists who have carried out atrocities in a bid to avoid “glorifying” their actions.

The change in Le Monde’s editorial policy was announced today in an article by its director, Jerome Fenoglio.

It comes in the wake of the murder of an 86-year-old Catholic priest in Rouen, Normandy at the hands of Islamic extremists yesterday. Know more

Iran Arrests 150 People at Mixed-Gender PartyIranian authorities have arrested around 150 young people at a mixed-gender birthday party amid a crackdown on behavior deemed to be un-Islamic, according to state-run media.

"We had received information some time ago about a mixed party in a garden in the west of Tehran," Mohsen Khancherli, a senior Tehran police commander, told the Tasnim news agency on Monday. Keep Pokemon away from atom bomb memorial : The Japanese city of Hiroshima has asked Pokemon Go's creators to keep its virtual monsters out of memorials to victims of the atomic bomb.

It wants the monsters removed by 6 August, when an annual ceremony is held on the anniversary of the 1945 bombing.

It follows a request by the operators of the Fukushima nuclear plant - highly radioactive after its 2011 meltdown - to keep Pokemon out of its plants. Know more


Authorities raid mosque in northern Germany : Authorities in northern Germany say police have raided a mosque believed to be a "hot spot" for Islamic extremists in the city of Hildesheim.

The interior ministry of Lower Saxony state said that the apartments of eight leading members of the "German-speaking Islam Circle Hildesheim" organization were also searched Wednesday, news agency dpa reported.

The state's interior minister, Boris Pistorius, said that "after months of preparation we have taken an important step with the searches conducted today toward a ban on the group." Know more


Bavaria Bomber in Online Chat Before AttackA 27-year-old Syrian asylum-seeker who blew himself up in the southern German town of Ansbach was chatting online with a still-unidentified person immediately before the explosion, Bavaria's interior minister said Wednesday.

Attacker Mohammed Daleel died and 15 people were wounded when his bomb exploded outside a wine bar Sunday night after he was denied entry to a nearby open-air concert because he didn't have a ticket.

"There was apparently an immediate contact with someone who had a significant influence on this attack," state Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann said on the sidelines of a party meeting in Bavaria, news agency dpa reported. Know more
