Google’s quantum computer just accurately simulated a molecule for the first time : Google's engineers just achieved a milestone in quantum computing: they’ve produced the first completely scalable quantum simulation of a hydrogen molecule.

That’s big news, because it shows similar devices could help us unlock the quantum secrets hidden in the chemistry that surrounds us.

Researchers working with the Google team were able to accurately simulate the energy of hydrogen H2 molecules, and if we can repeat the trick for other molecules, we could see the benefits in everything from solar cells to medicines. Know more

Suicide attack kills at least 21 near Baghdad : Hospital sources say death toll likely to rise after bomb goes off as cars wait to enter Khalis, north of capital.

A suicide car bomb killed at least 21 people and wounded more than 32 at the entrance to a town northeast of Baghdad on Monday morning, security sources told Al Jazeera.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast outside Khalis, about 80km from the capital, but the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant group (ISIL) regularly attacks security forces and civilian areas. Know more


'The government should give asylum to Turkish opposition figure Fethullah Gulen,' says Egypt MPIn an urgent statement on Sunday, Egyptian MP Emad Mahrous demanded that the Egyptian government give asylum to exiled Turkish opposition figure Fethullah Gulen.

Mahrous' statement was sent to parliamentary speaker Ali Abdel-Aal, Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, and Foreign Minister Sameh Shokry.

Mahrous, a member of the Democratic Peace Party, told parliamentary reporters that his statement reflects the wish of millions of Egyptians who have closely followed the recent dramatic developments in Turkey. Know more


Massive fire breaks out at Turkey's NATO military baseAuthorities are investigating a possible act of sabotage, according to local media reports.

Great Britain Motability Scheme Launched  

A new scheme in Britain ( Motability scheme ) to provide cars for disabled people is launched in Earl's Court, London. The scheme allows disabled people to use part of their mobility allowance to lease new, modified cars for the disabled.
