Knifeman sets fire to Swiss train : A knifeman has set fire to a train in north-eastern Switzerland, leaving six people in hospital with stab wounds and burns, police say.

Charlie Hebdo’s latest issue, which was released on Wednesday, features the image of a man and a woman on a beach with exposed genitals. The woman is depicted wearing a shoulder-length veil, while the man has a long beard. The caption reads “The reform of Islam. Muslims, loosen up” (“Musulmans de-coin-cez-vous”). Know more

German far-right party wants to expel migrants to islands as Merkel tells companies to hire refugees : The leader of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party known for its anti-immigrant stance has proposed deporting illegal immigrants and rejected asylum seekers to islands outside Europe. It comes as the German chancellor is trying to make businesses hire more refugees.

In an interview to Germany’s Bild newspaper on Saturday, AfD’s Frauke Petry said she would like to see all migrants unlawfully staying in Germany as well as applicants who were denied asylum to be repatriated to the “two islands outside Europe that are protected by the United Nations.” Know more

The Graf Zeppelin from Friedrichshafen Germany was prevented from taking off due to bad weather in Russia. It was supposed to travel to Tokyo on its second world cruise. It was possible that another course in Russia could be charted for it, but the weather remained uncertain.
